We are a small troop of dedicated scouts and scouters that work to provide a safe space where scouts can learn their craft, making mistakes along the way. The scouts take the lead on which merit badges they want to pursue and we support them in their endeavors. We emphasize rank advancement to First Class as priority ensuring that we give support to those scouts who want to continue to earning their Eagle rank.

CAMPING: We love to camp! Of course there is summer camp and in the past, we have had some great times at Camp Freeland Leslie, Camp Pfeffer, and Camp Tesomas. In addition we like to take in camps throughout the year and have enjoyed the outdoors at Warren Dunes, Illinois Beach State Park, Blackwell Forest Preserve, Churchill Woods, Rock Cut State Park, Camp Big Timber, and Apple Canyon to name a few. We also do some cabin camping when the weather turns cold including Herrick Lake, and Camp Big Timber. So if camping is your thing…

EVENTS: We have had fun at Grant’s Pilgrimage in Galena, IL., World War II Days in Rockford, and The Highland Games and other Council Campouts at Big Timber.

SERVICE: We participate in service projects as much as we can schedule including projects for the VFW, The Prairie Path, The Great Western Trail, The Elmhurst Prairie, and The Chateau Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Willowbrook. In addition we are active with the Lowaneu Allanque lodge of the Order of the Arrow.
