Hi Troop 242 & AOL Families!
Join us on Saturday, November 7, 2026, for one of our favorite troop traditions—our annual Thanksgiving Hike and Outdoor Cookout! We will be hiking together and preparing a full Thanksgiving feast outdoors as a unit.

- Time: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Uniform: Class A Field Uniform
- Who: Troop 242 Scouts, Leaders, & Arrow of Light (AOL) Families
🍗 Tentative Schedule
- 11:00 AM: Hikers depart from the VFW meeting spot
- 12:30 PM: Arrive at Churchill Woods / Non-hikers join at site
- 12:30 – 2:00 PM: Outdoor cooking & prep
- 2:00 – 3:00 PM: Thanksgiving Feast!
- 4:00 PM: Event wrap-up & departures
📋 Dish Sign-Ups & Location Pins
Troop 242 and attending AOL families are encouraged to work together on side dishes, desserts, and cooking gear. Options are also available for families who wish to meet directly at the cookout site rather than participate in the hike.
